‘Renesmee’ is where Grecian draping meets the quiet luxury of a modern slip dress, an asymmetric one-shoulder gown that feels equal parts goddess and girl-next-door.
We adore the asymmetric one-shoulder design, made clever with a detachable two-way option. Wear it as a languid bare-shoulder moment that traces the collarbone, or fasten the slim strap for something a touch more daytime-ready. One dress, two moods, never a fuss.
The real talking point lives in the diagonally layered panelling. Cut to fall along the body’s natural lines, it skims the waist and hips rather than clinging, flattering every curve while moving like it has a life of its own. It’s a cut that’s genuinely kind to apple shapes, falling in soft natural arcs rather than pressing flat against you. Each tier is finished with a clean three-dimensional edge-locking finish, so there’s no fraying, no curling after washing, just that soft falling drape holding its shape wash after wash. The hem is left intentionally irregular, shorter at the front and longer behind, gifting every step a gentle swaying rhythm and keeping petite frames from feeling swamped while taller silhouettes simply float.
Then there’s our favourite finishing flourish: a delicate lace choker paired with a removable fabric flower. Loop it at the throat, pin it to the dress, or lift it off to wear as a brooch, entirely yours to style.
The shade is a soft-focus warm white, never a stark or clinical cold tone, but a gently diffused buttermilk ivory that flatters warmer skin tones and catches the light with a quiet glow. It’s cut from an acetate blend with a misty, softly textured hand-feel, supple against the skin and wonderfully fluid in its fall, lined with a single-faced linen-satin that stays cool and slips smoothly with none of that cheap rustle as you move.
• Dry cleaning is the best way to extend the life of your item.
• Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Gently and slowly swish the garment then rinse with cold water. Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a towel and gently pressing to absorb lingering moisture. Ensure the garment keeps its shape by laying flat or hanging to dry.
• Use a steamer to get out creases in your item or simply iron inside-out on low heat, putting a cloth between the fabric and the iron.
