Somewhere between a Kyoto café courtyard and a sun-warmed afternoon off the clock, ‘Geraldine’ turns an ordinary day into something quietly cinematic.
The bodice opens on a generous square neckline up front, then dips into a low U at the back that grazes the most delicate stretch of collarbone and shoulder, tied with a slip of ribbon at the spine, a little intrigue saved for the turn away. The lace carries a soft-focus haze, stretchy and cloud-soft against the skin and breathable through the bodice and slim flared sleeves, lined in a skin-toned stretch mesh so it sits smooth and never scratches, with a milk-silk inner layer swapped in for cooler months.
Woven through are eight fine bones that draw the waist into a clean line and lift the bust, leaving that poised, swan-necked shape you feel more than see. Then the skirt takes flight: cut in a crushed begonia-crinkle with godet inserts hidden into the seams, it moves like weather, catching the air and drifting cloud-light while skimming softly over the hip.
The three-quarter sleeve finishes with a softly flared cuff that grazes the wrist. She comes in a matte porcelain white with a milky, refined depth, the kind that flatters warm and golden skin especially and doubles its richness in daylight, closed with an invisible back zip that vanishes into the seam.
A single-faced linen-satin skirt lining keeps everything cool and softly luxurious against the leg.
• Dry cleaning is the best way to extend the life of your item.
• Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Gently and slowly swish the garment then rinse with cold water. Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a towel and gently pressing to absorb lingering moisture. Ensure the garment keeps its shape by laying flat or hanging to dry.
• Use a steamer to get out creases in your item or simply iron inside-out on low heat, putting a cloth between the fabric and the iron.
