There’s a particular romance to a Parisian atelier at dusk, and ‘Alida’ captures it in wool-soft ivory lace that moves like it has somewhere lovely to be.
The paisley story starts at the neckline. A wide square neck sits just at the collarbone, opening the face and lengthening the neck while keeping everything gracefully in place, no adjusting required.
From there, ‘Alida’ follows the body through a nipped waist before releasing into a sweeping fishtail hem. It skims waist, hip and calf with quiet generosity, so the silhouette reads long and fluid, and drifts with every step, a proportion that lends petite frames real height.
Here’s where it wins you over: fitted and precise up top, romantic and unhurried below. Slim openwork panels trace down either side of the front for a lengthening, subtly slimming line, while a row of neat buttons finishes the placket with a quiet, considered polish.
The sleeves bring the final flourish, fitted along the arm before opening into a soft flare at the wrist that softens the upper arm and lends movement to every gesture.
Woven in a fine wool-blend lace with allover vintage paisley, the fabric carries a soft, breathable hand that holds its shape through long days, while a smooth, faintly stretchy lining glides against skin and keeps everything beautifully opaque.

• Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Gently and slowly swish the garment then rinse with cold water. Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a towel and gently pressing to absorb lingering moisture. Ensure the garment keeps its shape by laying flat or hanging to dry.
• Use a steamer to get out creases in your item or simply iron inside-out on low heat, putting a cloth between the fabric and the iron.
