Walk a flower market like it’s a runway, and the ‘Darshina’ dress is the one that comes with you, sun-warmed and slightly languid.

We chose a high-density TENCEL-blend fabric, exclusive to us, with a delicate, barely-there translucency, the sort of finish that lets a riot of pink and coral blooms feel cultivated rather than loud. Across it, a painterly garden spills from bodice to hem in shades of blush, rose and soft apricot, like a watercolour bouquet caught mid-bloom.

Now to the parts worth slowing down for. A French halter tie frames the neckline and lengthens it into a swan-like line, and because it knots to your liking, you set the bust height and the comfort exactly where you want them, with just the right whisper of skin on show. The high waist nips you in to a hand-span silhouette that flatters without clinging, while across the entire back a high-density shirred panel, worked on a specialist machine for that neat, precise finish, gives and moves with you for easy room through bust and waist.

Up top, soft gives way to sculpted: a cupped, dimensionally cut neckline lifts and rounds for a full, supported shape, smoothing the sides and skimming over anything you’d rather keep private.

And then the skirt makes her entrance. Vintage French panelling splits at each hip for a fuller, sculpted sweep, while tulle tucked into the sides lends built-in volume and that swishing, garden-party movement, so the whole skirt blooms and sways as you move.

Inside, she’s finished with the same care: tidy French seams throughout, a high-density cotton-soft lining that’s gentle against the skin and breezy to wear, and an invisible centre-back zip for easy on and off.
