5 - Your arm is measured from shoulder to wrist, with the tape following the natural curve of your relaxed arm.

Every so often a piece earns its keep at a wedding, a birthday and a slow holiday morning all at once, and ‘Mirelys’ is exactly that kind of two-in-one.
We start at the top, with the part you’ll notice first: a delicate fringe of hand-strung pearl drops, scattered in soft, irregular lengths along the neckline so they catch the light as you move. Each strand is threaded by hand, the kind of detail you feel rather than just see. Beneath it sits a lustrous champagne satin, a warm, refined tone that reads expensive in any light.
We shaped the body with ten bones set front and back, each positioned with intent to sculpt the waist and trace a clean, structured line, then backed the satin with a 100D interlining and a suit-weight inner construction so it holds you properly. The back laces through eyelets so you can fine-tune the fit to your frame, with a custom resin open-ended zip for easy on and off. One honest note: this is built like proper shapewear, so expect a firm, sculpted hold rather than a loose, breezy fit.
The skirt answers in softness. We used a generous 8.5 metres of acetate-blend fabric, heat-cut and then precision-pressed pleat by pleat, a slow, material-hungry process that gives the skirt its weight and swing. It’s clever fabric: matte and softly translucent in daylight, then quietly luminous when the sun hits it, in a textured off-white that feels substantial in the hand. The effect on is weightless and drifting, skimming rather than clinging, with a drape that pear shapes will especially love.
Cut without a waistband so it sits seamlessly under any top, it falls to the ankle with that easy, slightly languid length. Some say length is just a detail, but the ankle-grazing version and the shorter cut each carry their own mood, so it’s worth choosing your moment (and as it’s zip-fastened with no stretch, do check your waist measurement before ordering).
Together, ‘Mirelys’ carries a soft, old-world romance, polished without trying too hard. Apart, the corset dresses up denim or tailoring with ease, while the skirt swings happily from a knit by day to something with a little shimmer after dark.
• Dry cleaning is the best way to extend the life of your item.
• Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Gently and slowly swish the garment then rinse with cold water. Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a towel and gently pressing to absorb lingering moisture. Ensure the garment keeps its shape by laying flat or hanging to dry.
• Use a steamer to get out creases in your item or simply iron inside-out on low heat, putting a cloth between the fabric and the iron.
