Catherine Zeta-Jones owned the late-90s red carpet with exactly this kind of unbothered, sultry confidence, and the ‘Fleurette’ slip dress channels every bit of that leading-lady spark.
Slim adjustable straps trace the shoulders and collarbone, drawing the eye to a curved V neckline edged in scalloped lace. Across the bust, that lace blooms into gold-flecked roses in shades of crushed berry and faded rose, embroidered and speckled by hand so the neckline reads sensual yet wonderfully grand. Below, weighty satin takes over, falling sleek and fluid with that liquid pour only a heavier handle gives you, skimming the body rather than clinging. The same rose-and-gold lace resurfaces low on the side, spilling through a slit that opens with every step, so the bloom you meet up top returns again near the hem.
That side panel is the dress’s quiet labour of love: each piece set by hand so the satin lies flawlessly smooth while the lace follows its own winding path, an exacting, time-taken craft that earns its place at the hem.
Finished with light bust padding for shape and support, a hidden centre-back zip and a soft back slit that keeps the length easy to walk in.
• Dry cleaning is the best way to extend the life of your item.
• Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Gently and slowly swish the garment then rinse with cold water. Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a towel and gently pressing to absorb lingering moisture. Ensure the garment keeps its shape by laying flat or hanging to dry.
• Use a steamer to get out creases in your item or simply iron inside-out on low heat, putting a cloth between the fabric and the iron.
