Helpful Notes Before You Measure
- Use a soft, flexible measuring tape.
- Keep the tape level, not too tight or too loose.
- Measure over bare skin, not clothing.

Some evenings ask for candlelight, but ‘Jodie’ brings her own glow, spun from rose satin that catches the last hour of a golden dinner party.
Twin straps set the tone from the shoulder down, one cut a touch longer than the other so the neckline sits exactly where it should. It’s a small asymmetry with a real job: the straps follow the natural line of the shoulder and collarbone, staying put without digging in or slipping off through the night.
Across the bust, panels of diagonal gathered pleats cross and draw inward, softly closing the neckline and smoothing the sides. Those pleats don’t stop there. They travel from bust to waist on a slant, pulling the eye along the body and gathering to one hip, where the whole silhouette finds its centre. The diagonal cut skims the midsection rather than gripping it, so there’s shape without a single point of strain.
Lower down, the light finds the hem. From that side waistline, tiered ruffles spill in uneven lengths, short to long, into a high-low finish that never quite resolves the same way twice. A single hand-worked fabric rose blooms at the hip as the closing note, softening the seams and giving the layered side its focal point. Underneath, a smooth solid lining keeps everything fluid; on top, the ruffles float and shift as you move, blurring the line of the leg and flattering fuller hips and thighs through the bias-cut skirt.
Cut from a high-drape rose satin with a soft, pearlised sheen and a slip-through-the-fingers hand, it’s worked on the bias so the cloth pours rather than hangs and holds its folds without creasing. Its low-saturation gilded champagne softens the chill of stark white and the sweetness of pure pink, a warm, versatile tone that reads luminous against the skin.
• Dry cleaning is the best way to extend the life of your item.
• Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Gently and slowly swish the garment then rinse with cold water. Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a towel and gently pressing to absorb lingering moisture. Ensure the garment keeps its shape by laying flat or hanging to dry.
• Use a steamer to get out creases in your item or simply iron inside-out on low heat, putting a cloth between the fabric and the iron.
