There’s a particular kind of poise to a belted trench silhouette reimagined as a two-piece, and ‘Nicolina’ captures it in that pause between a hotel lobby and wherever the evening leads.
A neat little notch collar opens the story, softening the neckline and drawing a graceful line along the throat. Down the front, vintage-inspired rounded metal buttons catch the light with a polished, elevated sheen, each one aligned with quiet precision. The self-fabric belt is where ‘Nicolina’ finds her waist, cinching through a sliding metal buckle that adjusts smoothly and holds without slipping. Puffed long sleeves lend a subtle breadth across the shoulders, a flattering fix for anyone wanting to balance a narrow or sloping line, while a discreet gathered detail beneath the bust shapes and lifts. Cropped short with a playful little A-line flare at the hem, the jacket lifts the proportions and stretches the leg.
A slim 3cm waistband sits flush and comfortable, lying flat without curling or pinching. From there, a generous A-line sweep glides out to skim past the hips and thighs, falling all the way to the ankle in a length that flatters nearly every leg shape and drifts beautifully with each step.
Worn as a set, it’s that short-over-long, three-to-seven proportion that does all the quiet work, an easy win for petite and curvier frames alike. Chosen in two moods: a tender off-white with a gentle, luminous calm, or a poised khaki with a warmer, earthier confidence.
The fabric holds its own shape with a crisp, sculptural body that props up the whole retro line rather than clinging, yet stays silky and fine against the skin, never stiff or scratchy. Medium weight keeps it breathable and fluid, structured but with a lovely drape, and a substantial satin lining finishes it with a soft, skin-kind hand.
• Dry cleaning is the best way to extend the life of your item.
• Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Gently and slowly swish the garment then rinse with cold water. Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a towel and gently pressing to absorb lingering moisture. Ensure the garment keeps its shape by laying flat or hanging to dry.
• Use a steamer to get out creases in your item or simply iron inside-out on low heat, putting a cloth between the fabric and the iron.
