‘First Love’ is what you wear to chase the season’s first warm spell, when the trellis is heavy with blooms and the whole garden feels like it’s waking up.
The hero here is the faux two-piece corset belt, a structured, lace-trimmed sash that layers over the dress for the prettiest illusion of separates. Cross-laced through metal eyelets, it cinches the waist and adjusts to your shape, while a slender buckle-fastening belt sits alongside it, equal parts pretty and reassuring, so everything stays beautifully in place as you move.
The bodice charms in the details. We cut the bust into cup-shaped panels with soft gathering, then finished the neckline with an adjustable tie so you can wear it two ways: lifted and demure, or eased off the shoulder for that just-picked-from-the-garden look. Gently elasticated puff sleeves frame the arms and give you a second styling option, settled on the shoulder or slipped down.
For the fabric, we chose a cotton broderie anglaise, its sweet floral cutwork raised across the surface like delicate relief. Beneath sits a breathable cotton voile lining, cool and gentle against the skin. The skirt sweeps out in full, eyelet-embroidered volume, finished with a ruffled, scalloped hem that flutters with every step. A centre-back zip keeps dressing effortless.

• Dry cleaning is the best way to extend the life of your item.
• Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Gently and slowly swish the garment then rinse with cold water. Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a towel and gently pressing to absorb lingering moisture. Ensure the garment keeps its shape by laying flat or hanging to dry.
• Use a steamer to get out creases in your item or simply iron inside-out on low heat, putting a cloth between the fabric and the iron.
