Trench-coat polish meets the ease of a summer dress in the ‘Presley’ set, our answer to the off-duty French editor who never actually looks off-duty.
The ‘Presley’ dress leads with a squared neckline and a double-breasted run of hammered metal buttons that draws the eye straight down the front, quietly lengthening the whole silhouette. That same button line does double duty at the waist, where the fabric nips in to sculpt an hourglass and skim over the midsection rather than cling to it. From there the skirt opens into a generous A-line that falls to mid-calf, swishing with real weight as you move and grazing the leg at its most flattering point. Slip your hands into the hidden side pockets and the whole thing turns effortless, while a back zip keeps the front lines clean and uninterrupted.
The cropped trench jacket is where the set earns its name. Classic notch lapels cut over double-layer interfacing keep the collar crisp and flat wash after wash, a self-fabric buckle belt cinches the waist for that unmistakable trench shape in miniature, and cuff tabs finish it with borrowed-from-a-trench-coat confidence. Cut short to sit neatly at the waist, it never swallows the dress beneath, and a softly padded shoulder keeps the line clean and straight, flattering sloped or narrow shoulders alike.
Both pieces are cut from a densely woven serge with a matte, quietly luxe hand: smooth but with backbone, never flimsy or shiny. It resists creasing beautifully, so a long lunch or a folded-into-your-bag afternoon won’t leave a mark, and the mid-weight feel makes it a true trans-seasonal layer, breathable yet substantial enough to hold the skirt’s shape. A light, slippery lining finishes it against the skin.
Comes in a soft ecru reminiscent of fresh cream, or a warm milky-caramel that reads like a latte in the afternoon sun.
Worn together, the ‘Presley’ set is polished tailoring with a romantic streak, made for city days that run from morning meetings to golden-hour drinks.
The ‘Presley’ comes complete: jacket and dress as one set, not sold individually.
• Dry cleaning is the best way to extend the life of your item.
• Hand wash in cold water, using a gentle detergent. Gently and slowly swish the garment then rinse with cold water. Remove excess water by rolling the garment in a towel and gently pressing to absorb lingering moisture. Ensure the garment keeps its shape by laying flat or hanging to dry.
• Use a steamer to get out creases in your item or simply iron inside-out on low heat, putting a cloth between the fabric and the iron.
