‘Magnolia Lotus Fragrance’ lives somewhere between a watercolour still-life and a summer daydream, the kind of dress you reach for when you want to feel like the prettiest thing in the garden.

Where the painting begins, the off-shoulder neckline blooms into a frilled, elasticated edge that traces the shoulders and stays put with a gentle, secure hold, gathering into the soft pleats that give the whole dress its drifting, garden-in-motion feel. Flutter sleeves fall from there in weightless tiers, catching the air with every step.

Then the bodice splits into two moods. The ivory ‘Magnolia’ gathers clusters of dimensional fabric flowers, large blooms layered with smaller ones in mixed textures, pearl-tipped centres nestled among them, blossoming across one shoulder and trailing down the skirt. The pink ‘Lotus’ takes the watercolour route: a placement print of roses and wildflowers, positioned panel by panel in soft, medium-saturation pinks, scattered with raised butterflies in matching tones that look caught mid-flight against the petals. Both gather to a slim corded tie at the waist.

The skirt is where the picture comes alive. Four panels sweep into a full 360-degree circle drawn from over four metres of fabric, a generous, weightless arc that moves beautifully, skims rather than clings, and welcomes a whole range of figures into its soft romantic folds.

The fabric carries its own quiet sheen, light and delicate against the skin, with a smooth, fine-feeling lining underneath. One styling note: the skirt is sheer and floaty, so we’d suggest slip shorts underneath.
