Some sequins arrive at a party and shout; ‘Therena’ is the one who walks the edge of the Nile at golden hour and lets the river do the talking.

We developed this beaded fabric exclusively, then cut it by placement rather than by the yard so the embellishment flows with the body instead of fighting it: a single bodice draws on 2.1 metres of cloth, and the pattern runs in seamless, unbroken lines. Threaded through the design are silver-lined glass micro-beads, and here is where the real depth lives: unlike ordinary silver beading, these catch the light in two translucent layers, so the shimmer reads with dimension rather than a flat sparkle, scattering like the star-river of Nut, the Egyptian goddess of the night sky.

The French sweetheart neckline dips into a soft V for a poised, graceful frame, while the connected dolman sleeves leave the body room to breathe, relaxed and a little languid. Each cuff closes with a single beaded button, so you can slip the dress on easily or reshape the sleeve as the mood takes you.

Just beneath the bust, a mermaid-cut inverted-V seam draws the waist in, marked by hand-set zircon detailing that quietly lengthens the legs below.

The cinched waist follows the figure closely for a tall, willowy line, then releases into a skirt cut from matte vertical-stripe woven sequin fabric: fine yet opaque, so it skims and moves without clinging. The upright texture lengthens the silhouette and flatters, dotted with sheer, light-catching sequins that echo the bodice without overpowering it. At the hem, a gentle fishtail flares for that serene, goddess-like movement, and the back ties softly with slim ribbons at the open V.
